A BRIEF HISTORY OF CARSON VALLEY INN & CASINO

Location

The Carson Valley Inn Hotel/Casino/RV Resort is located on US Hwy 395 in Minden, Nevada near the start of SR 88. The CVI is just 20 minutes east of Lake Tahoe, 40 minutes south of Reno and 15 minutes from our State Capitol, Carson City. We are literally steps away from Bently Heritage Estate Distillery opening in early 2019. The Inn is close to golf courses, rafting, hiking, mountain biking, off road touring, fishing, sporting clays, skiing and much more. Situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, guests can enjoy breathtaking views right from their hotel rooms.



Brief History

The Carson Valley Inn opened in the summer of 1984 under original owners Patrick and Jeane Mulreany. The Inn started with 5 table games, 155 slots, 100 rooms and a small restaurant. Numerous expansions and additions occurred over the following 22 years. Mike Pegram and the Carano Family purchased the Carson Valley Inn on January 4, 2010. Since then, nearly every area of the property has been remodeled, replaced, refurbished or refreshed – and many areas have completed their second cycle of such updating. Mike continues to meet his commitment to the community by providing a more modern property while maintaining the atmosphere, charm and friendliness that were the cornerstone of the Carson Valley Inn’s success and growth since 1984.

The Carson Valley Inn offers a range of accommodations in three different locations. Our full-service hotel features 149 rooms including 11 suites. Dining

The Carson Valley Inn is dedicated to high quality food and exceptional service. Capturing the essence of a Nevada-style Steakhouse with classic comfort and warmth, CV Steak serves a delectable variety of steaks, chops and seafood favorites. Choose from American favorites and breakfast anytime in Katie’s Country Kitchen our “coffee shop” restaurant. For those on the go, Job’s Perk provides roasted ground coffee tastings, fresh-made pastries, Grab-and-Go sandwiches and salads, beverages, snacks, sundries and more.

Gaming

The Carson Valley Inn Casino offers the latest in slots and videos plus table games including craps, blackjack and three card poker. There is also a poker room and full-service Race and Sportsbook.

Entertainment

Free Cabaret Lounge entertainment is provided for listening and dancing seven nights a week (except during football season). TJ’s Corral, our outdoor concert and event venue, provides top-name concert entertainment during the April – September season with acts such as Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Lee Brice, The Oak Ridge Boys, Trace Adkins, Charlie Daniels Band, and many others.

Meetings and Events

The Carson Valley Inn’s 6,000-square-feet of banquet and meeting space is perfect for business uses such as Conventions, Meetings, Client Events, Board Retreats, Corporate Training and Planning Sessions.
